Parkview is labeled as a dog run and not a park because that’s its purpose. It’s meant as a place for mom and dad to let me off my leash and do my business. Nothing more nothing less. Parkview is squared off by a chain link fence and just big enough for me to do a few quick puppy laps.

When I was there about 4 other pups joined me and I would say if there were more it could start to feel crowded. Come here if you want to do your business and get out quick. Not a place to stay for a long. The best part about Parkview is that it’s a subsection of a larger people park that is also dog friendly. I have to be on a leash there but that’s where the grass and trees are.

RATING BREAK DOWN

Safety – [pawrating rating=0]

One fence gate locks this park in. Considering Grand Avenue is bordering the side the fence gate is on this is dangerous. This made me nervous for pups that enjoy making a dash the moment they get a chance. The park is fully closed in however.

Size – [pawrating rating=2]

Good for a few puppy laps but can get crowded fast

Elements – [pawrating rating=1]

Small pebbles made up the entire run. No trees, no raised platform, no nothing! Pebbles did make it easy for Dad to pick up my poo though, so that was cool.

Cleanliness – [pawrating rating=1]

Poop city. Watch out for the land mines!

Accessibility for Parents – [pawrating rating=2]

All meter spots but relatively easy parking options

Amenities – [pawrating rating=1]

Free poop baggies is the only amenity here

Friends – [pawrating rating=3]

The pups that came through were all really nice. They were all vaccinated from what I could tell. The humans enjoyed good conversation while we chased each other and enjoyed an occasional butt sniff

Surrounding Area – [pawrating rating=2]

Beautiful people park right outside. Trees, grass and surrounded by beautiful hi rises. I could have sat around and enjoyed myself there for some time. Dad enjoyed it!
